Since 1996 I have been a Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Everett Fire Department. My experiences in this position has provided me a unique opportunity to manage and lead groups of firefighters through the educational skills process of their jobs as well as the educational process to do their jobs. In 2006 I was appointed the Deputy Chief in charge of the Fire Prevention division where I am responsible for plan reveiws, construction inspection, site inspectionsensuring building and industry compliance with local, state and federal fire and life safety regulations.

Firefighter-of-the-Year, awarded by the Everett VFW, May 1989.

Russian Medal of Valor, awarded by the Fire Chief of St. Petersburg, Russia, May 1992.

Congressional Fire Services Institute Award, by Congressman Curt Weldon on June 5, 1992.
